Once in a century

Memorial Stadium has stood for a hundred and three years. It has never been emptied.

Not in 1923, when it opened against Wisconsin. Not through five national championships, or the longest sellout streak in college sports, or any Saturday in between. The interior has been repaired, repainted and added to — but it has never come out.

In 2026 it comes out. What is preserved from it is finite, already counted, and will not be made again. When these pieces are gone, there is no second run — only the building that no longer contains them.

The seats

Where ninety thousand people stood up at once.

Original fold-down seats, removed during the Big Red Rebuild and rebuilt as a ready-to-use pair. Cleaned, prepared, and left with the character that comes from years inside the stadium.

Seat numbers, rows and sections will vary. Specific original locations cannot be selected or guaranteed.

Not every piece is glamorous

Yes. This Too.

There are stadium collectibles you expect to see. Seats. Signs. Furniture. Pieces from the suites.

What would you keep?

A seat from the stands. A chair from a suite. A sign you walked past for years. A piece of the building itself. Memorial Stadium is changing — explore the original pieces being preserved along the way.

How a piece is preserved

Documented in place

Every piece is photographed inside Memorial Stadium and its original location recorded before anything is unbolted.

Removed and identified

Crews take it out during the Big Red Rebuild. It is tagged as it leaves the building, not after it reaches the warehouse.

Prepared, not remade

Cleaned, made safe to handle, and left with the character that comes from years inside the stadium. It arrives with its provenance documented.
